Finalized (I think) version of this hymn. It’s fairly straightforward and pretty didactic–meant to show that non-Calvinists can sing about grace. 🙂 The hymn is pointedly doctrinal, not necessarily super poetic. The music is very joyful (and a little trite)–in the right context I think it could be very much enjoyed.
vs. 1 — God offers His grace to everyone, not an arbitrarily selected few.
vs. 2 — Salvation is God’s work in us, but it requires our cooperation/submission to His intentions.
vs. 3 — We are safe in God’s keeping so long as we remain in Him.
vs. 4 — God’s grace is not merited. It is God at work, and He will triumph.
